PersonalMD.com has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to your privacy. We regard our relationship with our members as privileged as doctor-patient relationship. We understand that, in many cases, personal medical information is more dear to consumers than their financial information. Our service is to help consumers store their medical information in a safe and secure place and our business model is not dependent on selling any individual's information. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for this website.

The more information you volunteer (and the more accurate it is), the better we are able to customize your experience. Once you register you are no longer anonymous to PersonalMD - you are given a PersonalMD ID and are able to take full advantage of PersonalMD's many offerings.

Apart from the above information, we use your IP address for system administration such as help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our Web site and to report aggregate information to our advertisers.

PersonalMD takes the advertisement and displays it to users meeting that criteria. At no point will the the advertiser have access to individual account information.

We also communicate with the user, via e-mail in the form of a newsletter or an e-mail message, informing of updates to the site, new services and solicit opinions in the form of surveys.

PersonalMD does research on our users' demographics, interests, and behavior based on the information provided to us upon registration, from our server log files or from surveys. We do this to better understand and serve our users. This research is compiled and analyzed on an aggregated basis and may be shared with advertisers or business partners.
