Things to watch for, especially in smokers:
--A cough that doesn't go away and gets worse over time.
--Constant chest pain.
--Coughing up blood.
--Shortness of breath, wheezing or hoarseness.
--Repeated problems with pneumonia or bronchitis.
--Swelling of the neck and face.
--Loss of appetite or weight loss.
--Fatigue.

People may want to ask their doctors about getting a CT scan of the lungs if they have these risk factors for lung cancer :
--History of smoking, past or present.
--Regular exposure to secondhand smoke.
--Family history of lung cancer.
--Exposure to pollution such as radon, asbestos and diesel fuel.
