Personalization

You are in total control of the types of information which appear on your PersonalMD home page, the order in which you view this information, and even the colors in which you prefer to receive your materials.

You may edit the subject areas and viewing preferences as often as you would like. You also have total control over the information which appears on the back of your PersonalMD Card.

Customized Home Page:

Content: Your home page will include news, headlines, feature stories, tips and health facts about each of the medical and health subject areas you designate during the registration process, as well as an opinion poll utilized throughout the system.

Layout: You may reorder this information based on your personal preferences. For example, many people would like to see Today's Headlines at the top of their home page, while others may prefer to see health facts first.

Colors: Many people prefer to view their medical information in soothing tones, while others like to use bright colors as a "wake up" call. You can choose the colors in which you'd like to view the background, menu bar, text, links and opinion poll.

If you are browsing our site from a public terminal we recommend you signing out of your personal page (also called removing cookie).

Customize your emergency card: This invaluable card can be customized to contain vital, timesaving information directly on the back of the Card. The text used is based on information you provide in the medical information section of "My Medical Records" when you register.

This data includes primary physician and family contacts, blood type, drug sensitivities, allergies and donor information. There are a total of 10 lines with the capacity of 50 characters per line to give you the opportunity to add other important information.

Very often, emergency physicians must make split second decision about drugs needed to save a patient's life. By having this information directly on your Card, you avoid the possibility of being administered a drug to which you are allergic.
