Folders  

Your E-File section has several predefined folders for storing your paper based medical records. Of all the folders "Emergency" folder is a special folder. All documents in this folder will be available for your retrieval via the fax machine in case of an emergency.

Fax In-Box: Whenever you or your physician faxes a document to your PersonalMD file, it will appear in your Fax In-Box. Only information in the Emergency folder will appear on the print out received by emergency department physicians in the event of any emergency. To move documents from your Fax In-Box into your emergency folder, simply select the file by clicking on the box to the left of the document you would like moved. Then scroll down to the text "Move checked documents to," select the Emergency folder and click on "Move." Your faxed documents will now appear in the emergency folder and are ready for fax retrieval by authorized emergency physicians in the event of a medical crisis.
