Will
information faxed into my E-File automatically
appear on a printout read by an emergency physician?
No.
Your PersonalMD file is designed like an electronic
fax in-box to ensure that you are in total control
over the documents seen by emergency physicians.
Only you can decide which medical records you'd
like included in the report seen by emergency
physicians.
How
do I ensure that emergency physicians see documents
I'd like them to be able to access?
As
soon as you, your physician or pharmacist faxes
important data (e.g.: EKGs, x-ray reports, prescription
information) into your medical records, the document
will appear in the E-File folder tab of your medical
records.
You
can then move documents into the Emergency Folder
by clicking on the box to the left of the documents
you would like moved and selecting the emergency
folder at the bottom of the page. You also have
the option of moving it into other
folders to help you manage your
medical records.
Can
I see an actual printout of the report that will
be accessed in an emergency?
Absolutely.
We encourage you to review your chart on a regular
basis to be sure it includes updated medical information
and prescription details. You can view the information
on line by clicking on the view report tab in
your medical record or have a copy faxed to you.
