Adult Health Advisor Credits

The American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation Health Education Program, Kansas City, Missouri

The American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation (AAFP/F) Health Education Program has a panel of over 200 family physicians and other healthcare professionals. Each topic in the Adult Health Advisor has been reviewed by at least two members of that panel. The panel has found the topics to be scientifically accurate and appropriate for use in a family practice setting.

The favorable review of new and revised topics by the American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation was completed in September 1998, at which time the Adult Health Advisor reflected medical knowledge as of that date. Favorable review means that medical information is accurate but does not imply endorsement of any conclusions presented. The material reviewed by the AAFP/F obviously will not reflect developments in medical knowledge after September 1998. New developments in medicine will be reflected in the annual updates of the Adult Health Advisor. Favorable review by the AAFP/F does not apply to any software topics that have been altered by the user.
